Shcaa was born in Paris and after moving to different places in his life, he is now settled in London since a few years. What made him active into music was the 60’s and 70’s psychedelic and space rock with bands such as The Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, The Doors. Later came the clubber inspirations. He was always attracted by artists building peculiar but emotional notions around their grooves in the front of people. Besides that his musical life revolves around classical music, ambient and jazz.
“If I had to give one notion about my music, I would really make the link with painting, as this is how I work my tracks, I don’t make loops that much, I rather build them little by little, trying to follow some raw concepts of, lights and colors of sounds. A beat can be the necessary structure to hold a flow of sound and therefore gives freedom to use much more abstract sounds that will, beyond only harmonies, take their importance in their shapes and ability to generate subconscious ideas. I think it is really important to consider a rhythmic track not only through it’s means of creating reactions in our mind but as something really existing, living by it’s own, as a painting would do: it’s there and tangible.”
