Labyrinth might just be out favourite new promoters on the block. Obviously the announcement of a host of new parties is positively widespread across the UK right now (and we’re not trying to rub it in if you’re reading from further afield), but it’s fair to say we’re pretty excited about some of the bookings coming up from these guys. From a festival perspective, they’ve booked the likes of Dixon and DJ Koze for separate events, but rather than focus on the festival side of things, we decided instead to shine a light on their upcoming club nights. Brilliantly diverse and featuring some of the best and most discerning artists in the game, they’re got us absolutely pining for the club again. Sure, a festival is great, but any ardent raver will know it’s th club that started this all. Anyway, without further ado, here we highlight some of the awesome artists playing at Labyrinth Sessions from late August onwards. Frankly speaking, the events can’t come sooner…and here’s to a summer of good vibes aplenty before they do!
Friday 27th August – Todd Terje (Olsen Records) – Extended DJ Set at Loft Studios
The Scandi-disco king is a leader in the field and has been for years. His always bright and colourful sounds fuse the old with the new in electric ways. The Olsen Records man has some serious skills behind the decks, too, which will no doubt be showcased next to his vast and multi-genre record collection during this special extended set.

Saturday 28th August – Gerd Janson (Running Back) – All Night Long at Loft Studios
Gerd Janson is one of the nicest guys in the game. He is also a one of themes broad in taste – he can do dark techno or party starting disco, with all shades in between. The sometime journo and Running Back boss is a master of doing the dots between unexpected sounds and plays reading and manipulating the room perfectly. Do not miss.

Saturday 9th October – Perel (DFA) – All Night Long at Orange Yard
German producer and singer Perel—born Annegret Fiedler – is as hard working as they come. As well as being the first German artist to sign to James Murphy’s seminal dance- punk label DFA Records, Perel has performed internationally as a live act and DJ for years. She has a style that leans on different references to most and so always serves up a seriously interesting soundtrack for each and every party.

Friday 22nd October – Trikk (Innervisions) – All Night Long at The Theatre at The Cause
Originally from Porto in Portugal, Trikk now calls Dixon & Âme’s Innervisions label as home. That should tell you all you need to know about his sound – classy, full of rich melody and slow release sensual house pleasures that are never hurried, gimmicky or cheap. With him at the buttons, you’re always going to be going into a whole new world of emotions.

Saturday 18th December – Studio Barnhus (Axel Boman b2b Kornél Kovács b2b Pedrodollar) – All Night Long at Village Underground
Dance music can often take itself a little too seriously. That is not something you could ever say about the Swedish pranksters at Studio Barnhus, though. Their sound is colourful and charismatic, not afraid of a fun or quirky sample, and always gets the floor full. Between them this trio have plenty of tricks up their sleeve and they love a good time, which always means when they play, they do so with infectious passion.
