Cesare has built a solid reputation over the years for spearheading Serialism Record, DX digital offshoot, and working under monikers Azimute, Queen Atom amongst others. Releasing on staple labels such as Cocoon, Bpitch Control, and most recently underground imprint, Nerv Music. On the other hand, Andre is no stranger to sharing the booth with some of the most elusive names in the industry including Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Luciano and the list goes on. Mature minds of modern music join forces for a showcase of excellence.
Title track “Distant Connection” has a sense of urgency about it, thrusting a winding and warm bassline upon you, no escaping, only easing up for a short duration within the track before being launched back down to earth.
The second track of the EP is entitled “420”, the track is built around hypnotic loops that continue to sway through out, pensive pads and synth work bring a dreamy element to the table, a male sample flashes in and out ever so slightly, tickling the trained ears of listeners.
“The Ugly One” packs a real punch, simmering, building suspense before dispersing into a dance floor frenzy, acid tones ricochet off of the crunching kick, a rusty and mechanical track, with the name suiting the track perfectly.
