Having started as a podcast series, South American brand We Are Play Music has now graduated to now include a digital label as part of their music offerings. The Venezuelan DJ and producer Chu Malkovich, who is at the head of this project, is choosing artists who describe the image of the minimum based on the groove, which has been characterizing the group in recent years.
Their latest offering comes from Romanian artist, Dubfound. A long-time favourite of discerning Ro-minimal fans, the producer is famed for his whoozy and hypnotic minimal cuts, the likes of which have found a home on respected outlets such as Cadenza, Vinylclub, Little Helpers, Sleep is Commercial and many more.
The release in question sees him turn in a host of typically scratchy and sticky sounds, which are sure to appeal to some of the heavyweights of the minimal sound.
