Portable’s latest offering is a 2-track EP on his own Khoikhoi import. The much-respected South African live act also comes up trumps with a Bodycode remix of his now classic track, ‘Surrender’, which also came with a killer DJ Koze edit. This new remix retains the original’s essential elements, while still offering a stripped down vibe that would make it a perfect fir for dancefloors such as Panorama bar. Accompanying track ‘First Things First’ features a killer acid baseline and is typical of the sort of infectious track the producer has built his reputation on. A Chicago house anthem from the mind of a producer who’s forever indebted to the sounds of the windy city, this is Portable at his very best.
