Rich NxT, a founding member of FUSE and a fundamental contributor to the collective’s continually evolving sound, remains a favourite in the scene as he continues to advance his signature bass-heavy style and represent his home city of London on a global scale. He returns to the label for his first release of the year, teaming up with singer, pianist, and guitarist Childe for the captivating and immersive soundscapes of “Brakelights,” which draws on a broad range of influences to deliver a breathtaking performance and a stunning showcase of songwriting.
Merging twisted vocals with sweeping synths and snaking basslines, Brakelights is a mind bending cut that highlights a hazy after-hours production as the two artists delve deep into the night. Additionally, the EP includes two other interpretations, with the “Dub” mix leaning heavily into the music and emphasising the track’s intense acid-flecked bassline, while the “Club Mix” amps up the energy levels to focus on the catchy vocal snippets and take the listener to the heart of the dancefloor.
