Regardless, Andu Simion is not at all a newcomer in the minimal stage. Mostly known for its activity within the Lisière Collectif trio, the co-founder of the group has contributed with singles for various EPs of incremental minimal labels and has developed multiple collaborative projects during his career. However, this time, he surprises with a playful selection of compositions that is supposed to mimic a trip through the night, body, space and time. To further emphasize his own personal implication in the project, he developed himself the abstract cover of the album.
Contrary to the name, the LP is not so Random as presented in the title. It is an interesting, well-chosen, compilation of sounds that actually crafts a story for the listener. Nevertheless, Andu Simion does not restrict to use a singular style for his LP. Instead, he approaches components of Techno, Dub, Acid and Breakbeat in his songs, which actually prove (with a good note) his producer capacities and fluidity as an artist.
The album is available on Bandcamp but it also comes in two alternative physical versions of the album (CD & USB with WAV format) – (link for order).
